Using the Golden Sound-Light Crossing (GSLC) website and understanding its information and service enquiries.
Last updated: 17 October 2026
1. Operator and scope
This website, gslc.sg, presents Golden Sound-Light Crossing (GSLC). These terms explain the conditions for using the website and its content.
Please read them before using or reproducing website materials. Where contractual acceptance is required, it must be established through an appropriate process; merely visiting a page does not necessarily establish an enforceable agreement in every circumstance.
2. General information
Content introduces Buddhist practices, remembrance, dedication of merit and support for families experiencing loss and change. Descriptions, photographs and teachings provide context and may be revised as information develops.
General descriptions do not establish the availability, precise format or suitability of a service for a particular family. Ask GSLC about details that matter to your decision. We welcome reports of errors or unclear wording.
3. Enquiries and separate service arrangements
Browsing, clicking a contact link or sending an enquiry does not book a service, reserve a date or confirm a ceremony. Availability, dedication details, participation, dates and any financial arrangements must be discussed and confirmed separately.
Any service terms properly agreed for a particular arrangement govern that service. These website terms do not add unagreed charges, cancellation conditions or refund rules, or override specific commitments. Ask for clarification before proceeding if descriptions and proposed arrangements differ.
The 50-day programme’s start and completion dates require confirmation. The website describes continued ritual offerings after completion as a personal choice rather than a requirement.
4. Voluntary meritorious offerings
Separate meritorious offerings are voluntary expressions of generosity. They are distinct from any charge or contribution specifically agreed for a service. Before contributing, ask what an offering supports and confirm any dedication, payment, receipt or refund arrangements directly.
These terms make no representation that GSLC has charity or IPC status or that an offering qualifies for a tax deduction. Such matters require separate verification.
5. Religious practice and professional advice
References to liberation, merit, purification and peaceful transition describe religious beliefs, intentions and practices. They do not guarantee a spiritual outcome, release from suffering, health benefit or other particular result. Families may understand these practices differently.
Spiritual information and participation do not replace appropriate medical, mental-health, legal or financial advice. Seek qualified assistance where needed, and discuss participation needs or sensitivities, including smoke or incense, before attending.
6. Information supplied by visitors
Please provide accurate names, contact details and dedication instructions, and notify GSLC promptly of mistakes. Share only relevant information and obtain appropriate authority or consent before providing another living person’s details.
A family relationship does not automatically settle authority to instruct on another person’s behalf. Tell GSLC about relevant uncertainty or disagreement so it can be considered before arrangements are confirmed. These responsibilities do not replace GSLC’s own data protection duties.
7. Website materials and permitted use
Website materials may belong to GSLC, be licensed to it, or carry separate third-party rights. Photographs, artwork, translations, fonts and religious texts are not all necessarily owned by GSLC. Applicable licences and statutory exceptions remain relevant.
You may view the website and print or save reasonable extracts for personal, non-commercial reference, subject to applicable third-party rights. Preserve attribution and rights notices. Obtain the relevant permission for other reproduction, distribution, adaptation or commercial use unless law or a licence permits it.
Do not use GSLC’s name, emblem or materials to imply endorsement or affiliation without authority. Sending an enquiry does not give GSLC a general licence to publish your message or photographs.
8. Respectful and secure use
Use the website lawfully and respectfully. Do not impersonate others, infringe rights, submit malicious material, attempt unauthorised access, or interfere with the website or other visitors’ access.
GSLC may take proportionate steps to block harmful traffic or restrict access where reasonably necessary for security, legal obligations or preventing misuse. Such action does not automatically cancel separately confirmed services or remove statutory rights.
9. External services and website availability
Links may take you to third-party websites or open email, telephone or WhatsApp services. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their services. A link does not by itself endorse all external content or guarantee its availability.
Reasonable care should be taken over website content, but errors, interruptions and security incidents can occur. Continuous availability, complete accuracy and freedom from harmful code cannot be guaranteed. Please confirm time-sensitive arrangements directly.
10. Responsibility and liability
GSLC’s responsibility for website-related loss depends on applicable law, the circumstances and any enforceable agreement. To the extent lawful and reasonable, GSLC excludes liability for losses too remote to be recoverable under applicable law.
Nothing here excludes or restricts liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted. Statutory rights and remedies remain available.
11. Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains personal data handling, including enquiries, browser storage, Google advertising technology and photographs. These terms do not replace a privacy notice or consent required for a particular activity.
12. Updates and language versions
Updated website terms may be posted with a revised last-updated date. Changes apply prospectively as legally effective and do not rewrite existing service arrangements without the agreement or legal basis required.
The website currently provides English and Simplified Chinese. Please contact GSLC about any difference between versions affecting your understanding before relying on it.
13. Governing law, concerns and contact
These terms and website-related disputes are governed by Singapore law, with the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts, subject to mandatory rights under applicable law.
Please contact GSLC first if you would like help resolving a concern. Discussion or mediation may be agreed voluntarily; contacting us is not a condition preventing a lawful claim, regulatory complaint or urgent relief.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue so far as legally possible. A delay in enforcing a right does not by itself waive it. Contact GSLC using the details below.
